"All the rugs designs were created with a mixture of painting, oil pastel, and photocopied paper collage. My process is quite intuitive and primitive - each rug design has elements that I sought to balance and mix, and we used the same palette throughout the collection.
Circle Prance evolved from an existing design of mine featuring rows of women folk dancers. On the rug, I wanted to make it richer and funnier; they dance around in a circle, with individual costume colours, facial expressions and a jaggedy frame."
