Matilde

Inspired by traditional rugs and, in special, The Ardabil Carpet displayed at the V&A, I wanted to create my own take on it. Growing up in Sao Paulo, the famous concentre jungle, I have fond memories of how fun and magical it felt to play with the plants, flowers and insects at our little garden at the building I lived in, in the neighbourhood, Vila Matilde. This design is an ode to all those good memories and I hope it will awaken that curious child feel to everyone who sees it.
